Join us for a fantastic evening of worship with the Cape Town Gospel Choir, Band, Orchestra and friends.

City Praise returns to the iconic Cape Town City Hall for the first time in years.

With a mix of some of the latest Christian contemporary music along with traditional favourites, you will have the opportunity to worship with people from all over Cape Town.

Worship the King, supported by the choirs, band and a full symphony orchestra.

Joining the Cape Town Gospel Choir, band and orchestra, will be the South African Youth Choir under the direction of Phil Robinson.

Donate a ticket: There are those who cannot afford to come. We don't want money to stand in the way. Please consider adding a donor ticket on to your order, and we will pass it on to the less privileged.

If you genuinely cannot afford a ticket, call us on 021 825 9903 and as tickets become available, we will release them on a first-come-first-served basis.

Book your tickets in advance or get them at the door. Box office opens at City Hall at 6pm. Doors to the hall from 6.30pm.

Artistic Director: Colin Peckham
Colin founded Origin in 1997. He studied music at Edinburgh University and theology with the University of South Africa. He served as a music advisor and worship leader for the III Lausanne Congress on World Evangelisation and has directed many orchestras including the All Souls Orchestra and the Cape Town Philharmonic. He is the director of the Cape Town Gospel Choir. He's never happier than when he is writing orchestrations of congregational songs to lift and inspire. He is a missionary with Artists in Christian Testimony Intl, married to Norma with a son.

Choirmaster: Phil Robinson
Phil joined the Cape Town Gospel Choir in 2023 and brings a wealth of experience to the role. He is also the director of the South African Youth Choir.

The Cape Town Gospel Choir
The choir was founded in 2010 and returns to the City Hall for the first time since 2019. Skilled in blues, local and international Gospel, classical and contemporary Christian music, the choir has something for everyone.

The South African Youth Choir
Under the direction of Phil Robinson, the choir was awarded "Best Youth Choir" at the renowned ATKV Animato International Choral Competition for two consecutive years in 2014 and 2015; and "Best Regional Choir 19 Years and Younger" at Tygerberg International Eisteddfod.
