History

In 2001 the ministry leadership of Origin Scotland in Edinburgh, UK, decided to start outreach tours to Cape Town, South Africa. Following several tours in which international musicians and singers worked alongside their local counterparts, Origin South Africa was formed in 2005. The local ministry continued to produce smaller scale events until in 2007 Colin and Norma Peckham were tasked by the UK ministry to take over the local ministry in Cape Town and moved to the city. Under the oversight of local and international church leaders, Origin South Africa continues today to stage events aimed at unity of the Church of Jesus Christ in Cape Town, and outreach to the world around.
